UI/UX & Web Design/Dev

I’ve been lucky to primarily be employed as an Interactive Designer in one form or another over the past decade. Many hats can be worn as an Interactive Designer from digital design, motion design, UI/UX design to coding the end product. The interactive world has changed massively in the past ten years with many of those concentrations covered by “Interactive Design” becoming more complex and spinning off into their own concentrations. As a result I have been gravitating more towards concentrating on UI/UX and motion design. The projects on this page span from 2009 to present.

– Public Defenders App –

WHO: State of Colorado  ROLE: UX Designer  TOOLS: Photoshop, Figma

Was tasked to modernize the “Office of the Colorado State Public Defender” application process to help speed up the application process and to minimize resources used. There were two asks.

  1. To design an easy to use mobile app that took advantage of phone document scanning technology.
  2.  Help modernizing the internal enterprise software interface that regional Public Defender offices use around the state.

Both systems are projected to be deployed sometime in mid-2019.

– Total Wireless –

WHO: IMM  ROLE: Interactive Designer  TOOLS: HTML, Photoshop

Made weekly edits to the site’s content such as: creating hero images, design and coding of various landing pages. Total wireless is a pay as you go phone service that offers aftermarket phones and wireless service.

– Encore Interactive –

WHO: Starz Entertainment  ROLE: Interactive Designer  TOOLS: Flash, Photoshop

Encore” Look Again” micro site. I built this micro site to match the print campaign. It focused mostly on the then new Encore channel lineup and was intended for the cable industry audience. I believe this was also deployed in a touch screen kiosk for a number of industry tradeshows.

– Starz Entertainment –

WHO: Starz Entertainment  ROLE: Interactive Designer  TOOLS: HTML, Photoshop

For Starz Entertainment’s corporate site I helped with the rebranding and development of the UI/UX, Made weekly edits to the site’s content such as: creating hero images, design and coding of various microsites and landing pages.

– Harley Davidson –

WHO: Overdrive Interactive  ROLE: UX/Interactive Designer  TOOLS: Flash, Photoshop

What you are looking at is Harley Davidson’s first Facebook app. It was built in Flash, ran for two years (2009,2010) and had two iterations before Facebook decided to nix flash based applications in favor of their own app development solution. The initial app out performed expectations and gave an 11% spike in traffic to HD’s sales page from Facebook over the first two quarters it ran. The design elements I lifted from the then current marketing campaign. It was fun coming up with a navigational system that followed that gritty esthetic. The following year took a 180 change to a cleaner big country feel.
